I’ve always had a bad taste in my mouth after reading a lot of Chinese stories. Why? because they usually follow the “Mighty makes Right” philosophy without an underlying moral base. But, Peerless Dad doesn’t quite follow that and is an excellent story so far. I really feel i can get behind the protagonist and his motivations. His character development is solid and you get enough of the supporting cast to keep it grounded in his world.
I don’t understand this story at all. Nothing makes sense. They kept building up how strange Naoko looked, but she’s totally normal. Even the police woman states, “No wonder she got bullied with those earrings and bow.” Really? REALLY? And she wasn’t just an outcast, people had vindictive hatred towards her. For a hair bow?! And somehow this turned her into Jason Voorhees.
